Description
Picture 3 Picture 2 Picture 1 As of 10/04/2018, the purpose of this notification is to continously provide the Q&As as follows. 6. Please confirm the REEl Turret/Turntable: Powered with 360 rotation must be powered? A standard manual turret is easily turned by a single person and Design engineers suggest the cost of adding power to the turret/turntable will significantly increase the cost in comparison. Answer #6: Reel Turret/Turntable must be powered with 360 rotation. 7. Please advise what the 12' rolled chute Assembly is used for -- this will assist in the designing the trailer per the end users' desires. Answer #7: The chute is used when there is a significant stand-off distance between where the array leaves the turret/drum and where it will clear the edge of the pier. Use of the chute prevents dragging the array on the edge of the pier. Attached pictures are the current chute. Note that the pictures are provided as reference only and are not intended to limit the bidder's design chute concept. Picture 1: Chute extension bars fully retracted and secured for transportation Picture 2: Operators lowering "retracted" chute extension bars Picture 3: Chute extension bars fully extended with chute roller assembly attached. Although the chute shown in horizontal position, it can be raised to whatever angle is necessary for the operators to clear any obstructions.
