- A sources sought is a market research tool being used to determine availability and adequacy of potential business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition. The intent of this sources sought is to identify qualified businesses for a Firm-Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract for transportation and disposal of hazardous and other waste from various U.S. military locations serviced by DLA Disposition Services in Gimcheon, South Korea. This project will be performed in its entirety in the country of South Korea. An additional market research aspect of this sources sought is to request information on how to prevent barriers to competition. Methods considered include soliciting on a regional or province basis, and commodity specific schedules. The commodities for disposal include but are not limited to: Batteries Compressed Gas Cylinders Flammables Non-regulated PCBs Recyclables such as lamps, antifreeze and used oil Additional services include storage tank cleaning, lab analysis, management services (pumping waste, labeling containers, etc.) and supply of containers. Interested vendors are requested to email a capabilities statement that includes commodities, locations, and/or any other basis in which the vendor has all required transportation, disposal and recycling permits, registrations, and licenses to perform work in the country of South Korea. The capabilities statement must be in English and emailed to nathanial.gaunt@dla.mil and hazardouscontractswest@dla.mil by 8:00 a.m. Eastern (2100 or 9:00 p.m. Korean Standard time) on October 10th. The capabilities statement can also indicate market norms in terms of contract length per pricing period. The Government intends to solicit and award a Firm-Fixed Priced IDIQ Services Contract. The NAICS Code is 562211. A response to this sources sought synopsis will not be considered an adequate response to any forthcoming solicitation announcement.
