Description
The Science Mission Directorate (SMD) at National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Headquarters, Washington, DC seeks to increase dialog with members of the aerospace industry via periodic updates about major programmatic changes. SMD will host an Industry Day focused on the organization's exploration strategy and other updates on October 22, 2018, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in Washington, DC at NASA Headquarters in the James E. Webb Auditorium. Registration at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/nasa-science-industry-day-exploration-strategy-update-tickets-50873900205 is required. The meeting may also include opportunities for attendees to schedule optional, supplemental individual 15-minute sessions with members of the SMD management team from 2:00-3:00 p.m. to discuss matters that may not be appropriate for discussion during the plenary session. These meetings will be scheduled based on the availability of NASA personnel and the alignment of proposed discussion topics to on-going NASA Science programs. Attendees interested in scheduling a session should submit a short meeting request no later than 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on October 10, 2018, as described under "Meeting Requests." Please do not include any proprietary information in what you provide to NASA. Attendees selected for one of these sessions will receive additional information prior to the event. Due to space constraints, only one or two representatives from the selected organizations are requested to attend. All attendees must be U.S. Citizens. MEETING REQUESTS For security reasons, do not email any attachments or links. Respondents asking that SMD consider scheduling a supplemental meeting must send an email--fax, mail or other means will not be accepted-- as follows: Email Subject Line: PROPOSED 15-MINUTE MEETING REQUEST Text within the email: Full contact information (name address, phone number) for the Requesting Primary Point of Contact and Organization. Other Attendees Names only. Short abstract (150 words or less) describing: 1) Planned Discussion Topic: Brief overview of the topic you would like to raise during the discussion. Organizations wishing to discuss multiple topics must submit separate meeting requests for each topic. Topics may include other SMD-related topics in addition to exploration strategy interests. 2) Relevance to Science Mission Directorate: Description of how the planned discussion topic relates to the Science Mission Directorate's activities, including whether the discussion topic is associated with a particular program. Supplemental meeting requests must be emailed to HQ-SMD-IndustryDay@mail.nasa.gov no later than 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on October 10, 2018. This is not a solicitation nor is it associated with a future solicitation. As stipulated in FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
