The Government intends to solicit for crane repair and maintenance at Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point, Military Ocean Terminal Concord, and Naval Magazine Indian Island. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract to the responsible vendor whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, with price and other factors considered in accordance with the Request For Proposals (RFP). The Period of Performance for this requirement is 1 December 2018 to 30 November 2019 with two, one-year option periods. Basis for contract award: This acquisition is being conducted under Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 15, Contracting by Negotiation of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Proposals will be evaluated using the factors identified in the RFP. Noncompliance may be grounds to eliminate the proposal from consideration for contract awared. Award will be made on the basis of lowest evaluated price of the proposal whose technical factor is rated "acceptable". Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) has played a vital role in our nation's defense by providing support to every war, major contingency, training exercise and humanitarian relief operation where our military forces have been deployed.
