PROJECT 537-18-136A OR AHU 5 FOLLOW-ON PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: The information provided below is for information only, and does not constitute a request for proposals, quote, or bid. The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) Southern Tier Construction Team has a requirement for a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) construction project at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. The Contractor is to provide all management, supervision, labor, equipment, material, supplies, etc. needed for corrections to the HVAC and BAS systems to the operating rooms in accordance with the Statement of Work and Exhibits. The period of performance will be 12 calendar days after the issuance of the Notice to Proceed, and must be scheduled during the OR closures from December 21, 2018 to January 1, 2019. This acquisition shall be 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns per the authority of 38 U.S.C. 8127 (Public Law 109-461). In accordance with VAAR 819.7003(b), at the time of submission of the proposal, and prior to any award, the Contractor must represent that it is a SDVOSB concern, a small business concern under the NAICS code assigned to the acquisition, and is CVE verified for eligibility in the VIP database. NAICS: 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors Size Standard: $15M Magnitude of Construction: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000 Interested bidders will be required to furnish a Bid Bond, and the award contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps. There will be a Pre-Bid Conference held for this requirement, and all prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid conference will be included in the issued solicitation package. This Pre-Solicitation Notice is NOT a request for submittals of any kind. The VA plans to issue the office IFB solicitation on or about 10/26/2018. The solicitation will be issued on FBO at www.fbo.gov.
