Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 7 located in Columbia, SC intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced contract to Veran Medical Technologies Inc., 1908 Innerbelt Business Center Drive, St. Louis, MO 63114-5760. Veran Medical Technologies Inc. will preventative maintenance and repair service coverage on the Veran SPiN Thoracic Navigation System at the William Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209. This requirement will be sole sourced due to the fact that Veran Medical Technologies Inc. is the sole source provider of the SPiN Thoracic Navigation Platform. There are no user-serviceable parts on the SPiN Thoracic Navigation System. All maintenance and repairs must be performed by Veran personnel. No other vendor is authorized to support the SPiN Thoracic Navigation System. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), soliciting from a single source. The NAICS code utilized for this procurement is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with a Small Business Size Standard of $20.5 Million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 3:00 P.M. EST, October 25, 2018 to: steven.bentley@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate.
