- A qualified Vendor shall provide standardized, evidence-based patient education at every medical center and community based outpatient clinic in VISN 12. Vendor will provide a browser based print-on-demand program that allows health care providers to print quality educational materials at the point of care. Content should include single topic, evidence based, peer reviewed health sheets that present information at a 4th to 8th grade reading level and use detailed graphics, when appropriate. Health sheets should be customizable by individual health care provider. Health sheet content should be comprehensive in scope and include materials in English and Spanish. High demand health sheet content will be available in additional languages. Drug information sheets should be available and medication information should be updated continuously. Program should be compatible with VA CPRS program, in order to allow access to the program through the TOOLS menu. Program should contain a feature that allows each medical center to add VA specific content or edit existing vendor content to meet local needs. Program should allow clinical users to create personal folders of frequently used content. Program should allow for printing at several different font sizes to aid readability for Veterans with declining vision. Vendor will supply usage reports by individual facility. Vendor will incorporate VA provided logos and information in header and footer of health sheets. Vendor will accept and respond to feedback regarding the content of materials and will allow the VA to submit ideas for additional topics. Vendor will provide/host an external website for patient access at home. Content should be similar to the internal program and provide easy navigation for users. Content should include health videos covering preventive health topics and preparation for procedures. Website should be 508 compliant. Vendor will supply web traffic reporting. Vendor should provide dedicated client service representatives to support the implementation, training, and usage of the program by VAMC staff. Vendor representative will provide on-site training at implementation. Vendor representative will coordinate access to the product through the CPRS system with IRM personnel at each VA site. Print materials to aid in staff training will be provided by vendor.
