Description

FB 17155/KKB October 24, 2018 Date of Invitation: October 24, 2018 Receipt of Bid: November 21, 2018 DBE Goal: 19% Project Description: Storage Tank Replacement at Alexandria Rail Yard Eisenhower, VA DIGEST The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) requires the services of qualified contractor to provide services that will remove, upgrade and/or install underground storage tanks (USTs) (gasoline, diesel), above ground storage tank (AST) at the Alexandria Rail Yard facility located at 3101 Eisenhower Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia and other items necessary to satisfactorily complete this Project as written in the Specifications and as indicated on the Contract Drawings. Contractor shall be responsible for all permits and inspections. Contractor shall comply with Federal, State, and local jurisdictional requirements and codes pertaining to this project. Contractor shall also comply with all safety requirements and permits required by WMATA. Period of Performance: 500 Calendar Days. Estimated Cost Range: $4,500,000 to $7,500,000 Bid Guarantee, Insurance, and DBE: A bid guarantee of 5% of total bid price is required. The contract includes a DBE goal of 19% if the bid amount is greater than $150,000. An insurance certificate for Commercial General Liability coverages with WMATA included as an additional insured as stated in the IFB. Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit: Monday, November 5, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at WMATA, Jackson Graham Building, 600 Fifth Street, Washington, DC 20001. Site Visit will be held immediately after the Pre-bid conference on November 5, 2018. Bid Opening: Sealed bids are due no later than 2:00 pm on November 21, 2018 at WMATA's Headquarter, 600 Fifth Street, Room 3C-02, NW, Washington, DC 20001, Office of Procurement and Materials, Attention Kamoru Banjo, Contract Administrator.
