Description

Sources Sought Custom Surgical Packs Department of Veterans Affairs This Sources Sought Notice is issued for information and planning purposes only. This is not a solicitation or a request for proposal and shall not be construed as an obligation or commitment by the Government. An award will not be made on any offers submitted in response to this notice, and it shall not be implied the Government is committed to providing any solicitation or award following this notice. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this request, nor will the Government compensate a respondent for any costs incurred in developing information provided. Responses shall be submitted to kurt.tanny@va.gov by 4:00pm EST on Wednesday, November 7th, 2018. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential sources of supply. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 19 (NCO19) is seeking responses to this request for information from interested, capable firms that can meet the requirements set forth; Summary: Provide all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and supervision, in compliance with federal, state and local regulations, to provide Custom Sterile Surgical Packs/Custom Procedure Tray (CPT) and creation of new packs, as deemed necessary for the participating Government facilities. In addition to the ability of supplying 500 to 6,000 custom sterile surgical packs annually to each of the locations identified below, the Government is seeking out firms with the capability of providing; Quality plans and checks for the production process, testing, sterilization, packaging, labeling, safety and delivery standards in the manufacturing of the kits. Adherence to FDA quality control standards for all aspects of assembly, packaging, and sterilization. A sterilization process that is validated annually by the Association for Advancement of Medical Instrumentation. Traceable lot numbers and clear tracking of all packs and products. Product usage reports and cost savings reports for each participating Government facility. Copies of the standard operating procedures governing batch control, product tracing, component manufacturing lot numbering and written policies and/or procedures on component recalls. Familiarity with operating room procedures, infection control practices, aseptic techniques and sterilization methods. A company primarily engaged in the business of direct assembly of custom surgical packs for medical facilities. Ability to meet forty-eight (48) hour maximum delivery requirements. Capability of providing high quality supplies and services for a period of one (1) base year and up to four (4) option year periods.
