Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) Molbox Flow Terminals and Barometer Naval Air System Command Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division PURSUANT TO FAR 15.201(e) - THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), or Invitation for Bids (IFB) nor does it promise to issue an RFP, RFQ or IFB in the future. This RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the government is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party's expense. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. Proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with the applicable Government regulations. The information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a small business social-economic set-aside, competitive or non-competitive method is possible, and to determine the availability of qualified companies technically capable of meeting the Government's requirement. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Metrology and Calibration office (METCAL) request information on non-developmental, commercially available model numbers Molbox1+ A700 (700KPa Flow Terminals), Molbox1+ A350K (350KPa Flow Terminal), and RPM4 BA100K (70-110 PKA Barometers). These items are required by the NAVAIR METCAL program as inventory replenishment items. The flow terminals are used to calibrate gas flow meters, as well as thermal mass flow controllers, rotameters, turbine meters, bubble meters, and other flow measurement devices. The barometer is used to measure atmosphere pressure using quartz reference pressure transducer modules. NAVAIR METCAL is issuing this Request for Information as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support this requirement. All organizations with the capability and availability to perform the requirement under applicable NAICS code(s) 334513 and/or 334519 are invited to submit a response to this notice. REQUREMENTS: • Describe warranty options if other than a one-year warranty with a warranty certificate. • Describe calibration options for calibration certificate and calibration sticker (as applicable) • Operating and servicing manuals (CD version acceptable) as available. Respondents must provide as part of their responses documentation of their capability to meet the above referenced. It is the potential vendor's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any follow-on information.
