- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. Military Sealift Command (MSC) has a parts requirement for the USS FRANK CABLE to provide four (4) new accommodation ladders and associated equipment in accordance with Lockheed Shipbuilding Drawing 603-4793086E. The accommodation ladders must be able to fit the existing ship dimensions to ensure proper performance. The estimated issue date of this solicitation (N32205-19-Q-6507) is on or about 6 November 2018. After issuance, the solicitation may be obtained on the Fed Biz Ops website https://www.fbo.gov/. All Small Businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUBZone and Certified 8(a) Small Businesses are welcome to respond. The government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the government's best interest. The anticipated award of a contract is 13 November 2018. The appropriate NAICS Code is 332999 with a size standard of 750 employees. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. It is recommended that interested small businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities package demonstrating the ability to provide the requested items. This document shall address, as a minimum, the following: (1) Company Profile to include number of employees, DUNS number, CAGE code and a statement regarding small business designation and status; (2) The facility where the work will be performed; (3) Partnership agreements with any large businesses. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. To aid the Government, please segregate proprietary information. Please be advised that all submissions will not be returned. Please provide your responses to this sources sought notice by 10:00 a.m. EST on or about 6 November 2018.
