Description
Description: Palm Beach Harbor, Maintenance Dredging, 33-Foot Project, Entrance Channel and Settling Basins, Palm Beach County, Florida The Jacksonville District is procuring project work which entails maintenance dredging of shoal material from Palm Beach Harbor. Base work consists of dredging the entrance channel to depths varying from 37 to 39 feet. All base dredge area depths have a two-foot allowable overdepth. Optional work consists of dredging the Settling Basin and extended Settling Basin to a depth of 35 feet plus a two-foot allowable overdepth, and the Expanded Settling Basin to a depth of 33 feet plus a two-foot allowable overdepth. All materials will be placed in the permitted beach placement area which lies immediately south of the inlet. Incidental work includes, but is not limited to, turbidity monitoring, endangered species monitoring, vibration control monitoring, sea turtle trawling, rock screening, and beach fill quality control. The solicitation will consist of a Base and one Option as follows: Base Base work consists of dredging the entrance channel to depths varying from 37 to 39 feet. All base dredge area depths have a two-foot allowable overdepth. Option A Optional work consists of dredging the Settling Basin and extended Settling Basin to a depth of 35 feet plus a two-foot allowable overdepth, and the Expanded Settling Basin to a depth of 33 feet plus a two-foot allowable overdepth. The contractor shall begin performance within 45 calendar days and complete performance within 120 (Base-75 plus Option A-45) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed (NTP). The performance period is mandatory. A Pre-Proposal Conference and/or Site Visit will be held on a date to be determined later, and will be listed on the Solicitation
