Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of Other than Small Businesses and/or Small Businesses, including VIP-Verified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective contractors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339112 (Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing). The Danville, IL VA may have a need for inspection scopes. The following is available from Pure Processing and is known to meet the Government s needs: C2-950 Pure Clear Inspection Scope, Long, OD 1.9mm, Length 95cm C1-800 Pure Clear Inspection Scope, Mini, OD.86mm, Length 80CM C2-350 Pure Clear Inspection Scope, Short, OD 1.9mm, Length 35cm GT405 Digital Camera Coupler, Firefly 5 mp. With Software FDM Flexible Device Mount (3pc set) for Inspection Scoes (includes flexible arm, clamp) 5197-201 Pure Clear Turbo LED Light Source, cordless, clip-on source of light The Government is requesting that Other Than Small Businesses and Small Businesses, including VIP-Verified VOSB or SDVOSB sources respond if they can provide the items listed above or comparable. At a minimum, the equipment must meet or exceed the following: -Inspection scopes must be able to take high resolution photo and video of inspections -Inspection scopes must be flexible, able to magnify, and have adjustable light for inspection -Must have USB connection compatibility with camera to provide viewing of scopes/devices on a computer monitor and for recording picture/video for quality monitoring and improvement -Accessories must include: flexible positioning arm and adjustable clamps to mount scopes in different work spaces, both corded and cordless light sources for viewing throughout department -Must have the following diameters & lengths each: 1.9mm x 35cm, 1.9mm x 95cm,.86mm x 80cm -Must include on-site vendor/manufacturer training for staff Interested Other Than Small Businesses and Small Businesses including VIP-Verified VOSBs and SDVOSBs are required to submit an e-mail delineating: Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product; Business size/Socioeconomic status; If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market; and Memo or correspondence from manufacturer to distribute their products. This is not a Request for Proposal/Quote or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for set-aside consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339112 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. Responses should be submitted by e-mail to Jon Hurley at jonathan.hurley@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 11:00am Central Standard Time on 11/8/2018. Subject line shall reference Sources Sought announcement number.
