Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD intends to award a sole source, Firm Fixed Price (FFP), modification to Full Rate Production (FRP) Lot 2 Contract N00019-18-C-0052 with Insitu Inc., 118 E. Columbia River Way, Bingen WA, for the integration of multiple Engineering Change Proposals in support of attrition and retrofit efforts for the RQ-21A Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). These efforts are in direct support of United States Marine Corps (USMC) Operations. The estimated value of this Modification is $1,460,000.00 dollars and will be funded with the following appropriation categories: Procurement Marine Corps (PMC), and Acquisition Procurement Navy (APN). This synopsis is published for information purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). Insitu, Inc. is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the RQ-21A Blackjack, and as such, is the only known source available with the requisite technical knowledge, experience and tooling to perform the efforts described herein, in order to satisfy the government's requirement. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for the needed supplies anticipated herein is 336411. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302.
