- Dangerous Waters Non-Commerical (DWNC) Version of Simulation Engine (DWSE) software and hardware. Special Notice: This is neither a request for formal Request for Proposals (RFP) or quotes. The Government will not reimburse any costs associated with the development and submission of materials in response to this request. There is no solicitation available at this time. However, should such a requirement materialize, no basis for claims against NSWCDD shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought notice or NSWCDD's use of such information as either part of our evaluation process or in developing specifications for any subsequent requirement. Request for Information: The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Virginia 22448-5110, on behalf of NSWCDD DNA, R21 Division, is seeking market research information regarding the following supply products and services: (1) Maintenance to the customized Non-Commercial Version (NCV) of the gaming engine and capabilities (2) Integration of additional commercial hardware for the Dangerous Waters Naval System (DWNS) The NSWCDD Contracts Department is issuing this Sources Sought/RFI announcement for NSWCDD DNA as part of market research efforts to assess availability to provide maintenance to the customized NCV of the gaming engine and capabilities. Since the Dangerous Waters software suite runs on commercial computer systems, integration of additional commercial hardware for the DWNS may be necessary if the software fails to run on the current system. Currently, this consists of a laptop (Dell) with high end graphics (Nvidia). This market research effort also seeks to assess the availability of services in support of the German Navy in the areas of technical management, requirements engineering, software development, system test, software support, hardware obsolescence, configuration management, documentation, training, and licensing as it relates to DWNC. The Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will include a level of effort Firm-Fixed-Price service CLIN 0001 to support the acquisition of engineering and technical services necessary for maintenance, and integration of additional commercial hardware of the DWNC. Engineering and technical support will be procured on individual task/delivery orders. All responsible sources may submit their technical capabilities which, if received no later than 3:00 PM (EST) on 19 November 2018, shall be considered by NSWCDD and NSWCDD DNA. All responses must be submitted to the Government points of contact at the email addresses shown below. Capability Statements - Interested Contractors are invited to submit capability statements. Capability statements shall not exceed 10 pages and shall include the following items: 1. A complete description of the Offerors' capabilities, related experience, facilities, techniques or unique combinations of these factors that clearly relate to the Government's specific needs for this requirement. 2. Does the Offeror have personnel available to support this requirement who possess SECRET level security clearances? 3. A summary of previous corporate experience relevant to the requirements listed above. 4. Any other potential pertinent information you wish to provide.
