Description
The United States Army Contracting Command - Warren (ACC-WRN) intends to issue a Request for White Paper (RWP) for Integration of a 3000 Transmission Integral Generator (3TIG) and Tactical Vehicle Electrification Kit (TVEK) onto a Family of Medium Tactical Vehicle (FMTV) for Ground Automotive Systems on approximately November 20, 2018. The RWP will be issued under the Defense Automotive Technologies Consortium Other Transaction Agreement (DATC OTA), W56HZV-16-9-0001 PA028. The DATC OTA was awarded under the authority of 10 U.S.C. § 2371b, Section 815 of the 2016 National Defense Authorization Act, P.L 114-92. The Government is seeking a prototype to convert two (2) PM THAAD Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) M1098s that support the THAAD Fire Control and Communications (TFCC) component to include the capability of Vehicle to Grid (V2G)/Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) microgrid supply for the THAAD TFCC and Battery Support Center (BSC). The focus of this effort is to demonstrate a vehicle centric microgrid with a robust, scalable, cyber secure controller, and remote monitoring application on an open architecture communications system integrated into the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) System. Follow-on Production: In accordance with 10.U.S.C. 2371b(f), and upon a determination that this competitively awarded prototype project has been successfully completed, this prototype project may result in the award of a follow-on production contract or transaction without the use of competitive procedures. The anticipated follow-on production quantity is estimated at approximately 40 FMTV Integrations. NOTE: This Special Notice is for informational purposes only. A prototype project will not be awarded in response to this announcement. The purpose of this announcement is to provide members of the Defense Automotive Technologies Consortium (DATC), and industry in general, advanced notification of the Government's intent to release a RWP to the DATC membership. The RWP will be issued to the DATC, who will then issue the RWP to its members. For information on DATC and/or how to become a member, visit the following website: http://datc.saeitc.org/
