- Description
- The Stanislaus National Forest, Groveland Ranger District intends to secure services for, site preparation, fuels reduction prior to planting, reduction of fuel loads, increase safety by use of mechanical equipment, hand treatment or a combination of all. Approximately 3,083 acres in 29 units will be in 5 separate sections (line items). Each unit may require multiple types of equipment and/ or treatments including but not limited to dozer piling, grapple piling, mastication, feller buncher, hand felling, and hand pile to meet required results. Slope, vegetation amounts, vegetation types and vegetation heights will be deciding factors for deciding which type of equipment/treatment is needed. Unless direct treatments are listed by Contracting Officer, it will be the Contractors responsibility to determine which methods shall be used to meet treatment requirements for each unit. The Stanislaus NF intends to award one or multiple Firm Fixed Price Contract's for services. The Contractor shall provide everything--including, but not limited to, all equipment, supplies, transportation, labor, and supervision--necessary to complete the project, except for that which the contract clearly states is to be furnished by the Government. Multiple pieces of equipment will be necessary in order to meet the timeline of this contract. Prospective contractors must address their ability to complete the contract within the time allotted. Location: The project is located on the Stanislaus National Forest, Groveland Ranger District.. In order to conduct a site visit ahead of winter weather conditions, a formal site visit is scheduled for 20 Nov 2018, 0900, at the Stanislaus NF, Supervisors office, 19777 Greenly Road, Sonora, CA 95370. Accessibility: Work site access instruction as given here is for information only. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to determine the most suitable route to the project area. The Government will not provide special maintenance nor snow plowing to open roads or keep roads open. The request for quotes will be uploaded when ready, approximately November 23, 2018. The date of award is expected to be within 30 days after the actual response date, which will be stated in the package and possibly changed in one or more amendments. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website for amendments.
