- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE AWARD TO RAS EPOXY COATINGS LLC FOR REPLACEMENT OF CARPET WITH EPOXY RESINOUS FLOORING at Barataria Preserve, Marrero LA The Barataria Education Center consists of a 7,703 square-foot building. The carpeting is in need of replacement within the multi-purpose/library/projection area of the building, comprising approximately 2,400 square feet of carpeted area. The intent of this contract is to remove and properly dispose of the existing carpeting (within the multi-purpose/library/projection area of the education center), seal exiting oriented strand board (OSB) floor with a latex primer sealer, level existing floor with self-leveling underlayment, install cement-based backer board using thin-set mortar, properly install waterproof membrane, and then install a seamless epoxy resinous flooring with 4" integrated wall base. Also, one (1) BID ADDITIVE is associated with this work. The visitor center interpretive areas, offices and theater have approximately 3300 square feet total of carpeting that is need of replacement.
