Description

Red River Army Depot (RRAD), Texarkana, TX, intends to award a single source commercial purchase order for an HMPT Rollover Stand for a HMPT500, HMPT600 and HMPT800 Transmissions to Freedom Tool & Manufacturing Co. Discussions will be conducted solely with Freedom Tool & Manufacturing Co. due to the proprietary nature of the drawings and technical data. The Statutory Authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition for this action is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) as implemented in FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) (ii) "Soliciting from a Single Source". The contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available (e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name or industrial mobilization). All interested sources may submit quotes which shall be considered by this agency. This requirement will be procured on a single source basis, solicitation W911RQ-19-Q-0005 will be released on or about 14 November 2018 and close on or about 29 November 2018. The FOB Point is Red River Army Depot (Destination). The annotated closing date for the solicitation is an estimated date and may be adjusted dependent upon the release of the solicitation. The solicitation will not close prior to the annotated closing date. This synopsis shall not bind the Government and is for informational purposes only.
