Description

NOTICE OF INTENT: The Regional Health Contracting Office-Central, JBSA, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, intends to award on a sole source basis, a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) purchase order to Abbott Laboratories Inc. for MitraClip transcatheter mitral valve repair system. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing, FSC 6515, Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment and Supplies, with a corresponding size standard of 1,000 employees. The proposed contract action is for the purchase of MitraClip Bundle for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source in accordance with (IAW) FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The Government intends to execute this award on or around 19 November 2018. This notice is neither a request for quotation nor a solicitation of offers; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency for future requirements. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (14-NOV-2018); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
