This certification shall be renewed as needed to ensure that service engineers maintain this standard of excellence. In addition, they shall remain certified on Advantage Plus ADV-100 endoscopes. Service engineers shall have full and exclusive access to the latest technical developments, repair procedures, software application updates and planned maintenance procedures. Additional support includes: Instrument specific knowledge of the platforms. Annual calibration of tools to maintain optimal performance. Software updates (bug fixes and patches) shall be available free of charge during the term of the service plan. Contractor shall use only replacement parts certified to manufacturer's OEM specifications. In addition, major sub-assemblies such as, circuit boards, polymer pumps, lasers, ovens, CCD cameras, auto-samplers, motors and major wiring harnesses are only orderable by a service engineer. Contractor shall possess the requisite product knowledge and specialized training to provide Qualification services. Must offer the broadest range of audit-quality compliance and validation services ranging from risk assessment to hardware/software qualification to full system validation. All qualification services must provide a comprehensive package that includes rigorously executed protocol documentation as well as all data collected during the execution of the protocol to keep lab instrument audit-ready. Contractor shall maintain staffing levels of factory-trained service engineers to allow a rapid service response. All field service engineers shall carry a full complement of service spares. This local inventory, managed on usage and instrument density, provides engineers with the proper service spares to maintain a high percentage of first visit call completions. Contractor is to provide all services, parts hardware, proprietary software, and labor. Services for the Advantage Plus ADV-1007 will be performed at the following Texas Veterans Health Care facilities: Audie L. Murphy Veterans' Medical Center, 7400 Merton Minter, San Antonio, TX 78229-4404 Austin Outpatient Clinic 7901 Metropolis Dr. Austin, TX 78744-3111 Olin E. Teague Veterans Medical Center 1901 Veterans Memorial Dr. Temple, TX 76504-7451 The NAICS Code for this procurement is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with has a Small Business Size Standard of $20.5M. This action is accomplished under the procedures of FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901. This notice is not to be considered a request for quotations or proposals. No contract will be awarded based on offers received in response to this notice; however, any offers received may be used to determine if a comparable source is available and more advantageous to the government. All responsible sources may submit a response; which, if timely received, will be considered by the agency. If parties choose to respond, any cost associated with preparation and submission of data or cost incurred in response to this announcement shall be the sole responsibility of the contractor and will not be reimbursed by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative written response is received by the response date and time, a purchase order will be issued to Medivators, Inc. without any further notice.
