- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. We are seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. The VHA Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) is conducting a market survey to find qualified vendors to Repair Building 3-A Water Damage for the Charles George Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 1100 Tunnel Road, Asheville NC 28805. The Magnitude of Construction for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The proposed NAICS 236220 is applicable to this acquisition; with a size standard of $36.5 Million. General Scope: The Contractor will provide all transportation, material hardware and parts, tools, specialized equipment, labor, supervision and technical expertise to repair building 3-A, Asheville, NC. Work shall include: Demolish and remove cabinets from the kitchen and kitchen sink area. Remove drop ceiling grid and ceiling tiles in the kitchen. Demolish plaster walls and ceilings in the kitchen area. Demolish plaster walls in the living room and dining room (excludes ceilings). Remove asbestos containing mastic on wooden subfloors in the kitchen, sink area, and dining room. Remove carpet from lower and upper level, steps, and the Florida room. Remove plaster ceilings from the basement area. Wet scrape the lead-based paint from the basement walls. The VA is mandated by Public Law 109-461 to consider a total set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. However, if responses from qualified firms prove inadequate, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be considered. Your response is required by 3:00 PM EST on Monday, November 26, 2018.
