Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation number is 140A1619Q0024 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-101. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334111 with a small business size standard of 1,000.00 employees. This requirement is an [ Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2018-11-27 17:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. FOB Destination shall be in the Statement of Work. The Bureau of Indian Affairs requires the following items, Meet or Exceed, to the following: LI 001: Indian Affairs (IA) has a need to enhance and modernize its current backup infrastructure to current technology in data centers and agency sites in order to meet the retention and Disaster Recovery (DR) requirements of the Department of the Interior. The current IA infrastructure consists of multiple backup system products supported by multiple vendors. Many of these products are outdated and do not take advantage of up-to-date technology. By modernizing the backup infrastructure, IA will improve data availability, reliability, and recoverability while lowering the administrative cost of operations and streamlining the DR process.
