Description
The contract shall provide cable TV service for the entire Coatesville VA Medical Center campus for dates 1/1/19 through 12/31/19. Service will need to be provided for 285 cable drops located throughout the Coatesville VAMC campus. The contractor shall run all new infrastructure utilizing the current standard for cable television. The infrastructure shall be run to all required buildings. This will include running cable underground utilizing man holes. The contractor shall follow the Coatesville VAMC confined space policy. The contractor shall provide the following channels: NBC Sports Philadelphia (formerly known as Comcast Sports Net) to allow for patients to watch local Philadelphia sports teams games. Weather Channel to allow for the Fire Department and Transportation Department to monitor storms for emergency management and snow removal. Local CBS, ABC, FOX, NBC to allow for patients to watch the local news. NFL Network to allow for patients to watch all NFL teams not broadcasted on local networks. No other specific channels are required. All other channels can be chosen at time of award utilizing options that are available with standard packages. The contractor shall provide cable boxes as required to broadcast cable TV across the new infrastructure. The contractor shall provide as-built drawings at the conclusion of the installation that include at minimum: the location of all amplifiers, the location of the head end equipment, the location of all cable run throughout the campus. The contractor shall seal all penetrations utilizing approved fire caulk in accordance with the Coatesville VA Fire Department Penetration Permit. The contractor shall remove all old infrastructure after the switchover of the new system. The contractor shall include pricing for four (4) option years to follow the same month and day ranges. The VA intends to sole source this requirement due to the availability of NBC Sports Philadelphia. Market research from the requesting team indicates that this is a sole source requirement.
