THE SUBMISSION OF PRICING, CAPABILITIES FOR PLANNING PURPOSES, AND OTHER MARKET INFORMATION IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED AND ALLOWED UNDER THIS RFI IN ACCORDANCE WITH (IAW) FAR 15.201(e). Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought/RFI only. The purpose of this sources sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 541519 (size standard of $27.5 Million). Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 22 Network Contracting Office is seeking sources that can provide licensing and maintenance renewal for voice recognition equipment for the VA Long Beach Healthcare System: Voicebrook Voiceover Pathology Speech Recognition System Maintenance Renewal 1. Background In October of 2013 the Pathology Department at VAMC Long Beach implemented a pathology speech recognition system by Voicebrook called VoiceOver Enterprise. This software application incorporates speech recognition, digital dictation, customizable templates and an assortment of input devices, providing direct integration with our VistA computer system. This in-house software system has for the most part eliminated the need for an outside transcription contract. On a daily basis our resident pathologists use this software when they dissect and describe pathology specimens being received into our service and our attending pathologists use the software to dictate their microscopic findings and diagnoses of pathology specimens. 2. Scope The VoiceOver Enterprise Pathology System which was designed specifically for the pathology department at VA Long Beach consists of both software and hardware and allows access by 10 pathologists to the digital dictation system. This request is to pay for renewal of the maintenance agreement needed to keep all parts of the system up and running and to allow call-in technical support when we have problems with the system.
