- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 2), Network Contracting Office 2, Bronx, New York, intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) (i) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements required at the level of quality required because the supplies and/or services are unique or highly specialized to Philips Healthcare DIV of PENAC, 22100 Bothell Everett Highway, Bothell, WA 98021-8431. Philips will provide all equipment, labor, parts, and supervision necessary to provide Full Service and Maintenance Contract for all equipment described below at the VA Western New York Healthcare System. This action will result in a firm-fixed-price (FFP) purchase order from date of award (DOA) to completion. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement no later than November 29, 2018 at 12:00 PM EST. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to Announcement 36C242-19-AP-0674 Notice of Intent. If after November 29, 2018, no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, Dept of VA shall negotiate solely with Philips. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Phone calls will not be accepted. REQUIRED SUPPLIES: Philips EPIQ 5G Ultrasound System BACKGROUND The Biomedical Engineering Service at the Veterans Affairs Western New York has a requirement for the service of Philips equipment listed above. OBJECTIVES Veterans Affairs Western New York, Biomedical Engineering Service is seeking an contractor capable of providing all equipment, labor, parts, and supervision necessary to provide repair of Philips EPIQ 5G Ultrasound System. National Contracting Office (NCO) 2 will issue a Purchase Order to create a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract.
