Description

This acquisition is conducted under the authority of Multiple Award Schedule Program (Title III of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 (41 U.S.C.251, et.seq.). Authority to limit competition to less than those required by FAR 6.302 is found at FAR 6.302-1. The justification to sole source is attached. This is a notice of intent to award other than full and open competition. This is not a request for quotes. The government intends to make an award for reference thin prep laboratory kits for delivery date of 3 Dec 2018 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. SPECIAL NOTIFICATION OF INTENT The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identity their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduce a competitive procurement. NOTE: The Governemnt reserves the right to award on an all or none basis. Please include a copy of a published price list with quote. If published price list is too large to forward with quote, include a cover page with effect date and pages for the items on the quote. DESCRIPTION/SPECIFIC CHARACTERISTICS This solicitation is for the consumables. However, the overall requirement of the Government includes the following: Consumables along with Analyzers capable of processing Pap Smears, Non-Gyn and Urocyte patient samples for the detection of Pre-Cancer, Cancer, Fungus, Viral Change, and Protozoans. Must be capable of flushing cells through a filter and creating a 20 mm (diameter) monolayer that allows Cytologist to detect abnormalities.
