- This Sources Sought/Market Survey Notice is being conducted by John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, Michigan, 48201 to identify other sources that are capable of providing commissioning services for the new TrueBeam linear accelerator located at the Detroit VAMC following installation. This commissioning is required prior to using this equipment. This commissioning must include: Performance of a photon and neutron Radiation Survey of the linear accelerator vault (contractor shall supply calibrated survey instruments), resulting in a formal written report following the format outlined in National Council on Radiation Protection Report No. 151. Measurement of a complete data set for a Varian Medical Systems TrueBeam linear accelerator for use with an Eclipse treatment planning system using Acuros, AAA, and e-MC algorithms, for 6, 10, and 15MV flattened and 6 and 10MV unflattened X-ray beams, and 6, 9, 12, and 16Mev electron beams (contractor shall supply measurement instrumentation). Measurement of complete data set for Enhanced Dynamic Wedges and physical hard wedges. Measurement of complete data set for electrons for standard size applicators. Measurement of complete data set for dMLC and VMAT IMRT treatment plans. Measurement of complete data set for Varian Eclipse SRS treatment plans. Measurement of complete data set for Enhanced Dynamic Wedges and physical hard wedges Perform an absolute output calibration for all radiation beams following TG-51 methodology. Results will be verified using the IROC OSLD program. A formal written commissioning report of this project will be provided after the project is completed. A formal written report of all the beam data acquired will be provided after the project is completed.
