- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. We are seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. The VHA Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) is conducting a market survey to find qualified vendors to Renovate Ward 1 East for the Oncology Clinic for the Charles George Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 1100 Tunnel Road, Asheville NC 28805. The Magnitude of Construction for this project is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. The proposed NAICS code for this project is 236220, with a Size Standard of $36.5 Million. General Scope: The project is located in Building 47 and expands the existing Ward 1 East Oncology outpatient infusion clinic by adding an approximately 1,500 sf addition, located in the area of the existing screened outdoor patio, and renovates approximately 9,550 sf of the existing infusion clinic. Work includes demolition of existing metal stud/sheetrock walls, ceilings, vinyl tile floors and mechanical/electrical devices and equipment. New construction includes sheetrock walls, installation of acoustic ceilings, installation of new flooring, installing new electrical devices, wiring, lighting, installation of a new heating/ventilating/air conditioning unit and associated ductwork, installation of new plumbing piping and fixtures for toilets and sinks. Work also includes removing asbestos containing materials from walls, floors, and piping. All interested parties should respond in writing via email to daniel.dove@va.gov. However, if responses from qualified firms prove inadequate, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be considered.
