Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses. Responses to this notice shall include: Company Name Address Point of Contact Phone, Fax, and Email DUNS number Cage Code Type of business, e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a), HUB Zone, Women Owned Small Business, SDB Must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform the work described below: This is an procurement looking to procure a 4-plex air compressor to replace an existing 4-plex air compressor in the sub-basement for the Kansas City VA Medical Center (KCVAMC). Contractor will provide all supervision, tools, equipment, materials and labor to: Provide and install a new Powerex SEQ40B74 Quadplex (or equal) Oil-Less Scroll Air Compressor with a twin tower desiccant dryer. Installation includes all electrical and mechanical materials and connections. Provide and install a new 200-gallon vertical receiver tank. Tank shall be capable of 200 PSI from -20 ° F to 400 ° F. Phased removal of the 2 existing rotary compressors; all the while maintaining control air for the hospital. Minimal control air outage(s) may be acceptable providing the outage is done during other than normal business hours. The existing compressors will be turned over to the VA. Partial removal of the existing 4 concrete housekeeping pad for receiver tank placement. The concrete removal will be done by using a wet sawing technique to avoid creating concrete dust. The Air Compressor will have the following features and options (minimum). 208 Volt 3Ø Power Supply Variable Frequency Drive operation Oil-Less Scroll Compressors with no oil needed for operation. Minimum of 4, 10 Horsepower compressors for full redundancy Auto Restart Capable Rated for 100% Continuous Duty Compressors will be Direct Drive 10,000-hour bearing life. Tip Seals rated for 10,000-hour operation. Integral radial flow fan for cooling and rated for 116 psig maximum pressure at sea level. Air-Cooled Aftercoolers for each pump, constructed of copper tubing, for each compressor pump. An adjustable slide base under each motor for belt maintenance. Pressure regulator Shut-off ball valve, safety relief valve, lockable motor protectors, and miniature circuit breakers for low voltage components isolate each bank of (2) compressors to allow OSHA approved service and maintenance while the other bank is in operation. Controls shall be integrated with the compressor cabinet from the factory: A lighted on/off switch. A user friendly, touch screen, HMI type display panel. The controls will operate and continuously monitor the system and provide information and alarms to the user through the HMI display. Features include display of system pressure, pump run status, pump fault conditions (high-temperature shutdown, motor overload fault), maintenance counters and warnings, system trends, and pump HOA control. System setup mode allows user to adjust system pressure setpoints, enable auto restart function, reset alarms, and reset maintenance counters. Compressor operation shall include Variable Frequency Drive control logic. Each compressor pump is automatically staged on or off individually based on actual system demand. Energy efficiency is maximized at all usage levels. Lead compressor status will rotate every 10 minutes to maintain equal run hours. Dry contacts are provided for remote monitoring of multiple compressor fault conditions. Twin Tower Desiccant Air Dryer will have the following features and options (minimum). Sized for a pressure dew point of -40 degrees F at its full capacity. Dryer design shall be of the automatic pressure swing, heatless, regenerative type and shall include a solid-state cycle timer, reliable switching valve design, and purge muffler for quiet operation. Dryer controls shall include on/off/variable mode selector switch, digital display with cycle mode counter, and maintenance indicator light. FILTRATION: The system shall include a.01 micron coalescing pre-filter with filter change indicator and automatic drain valve, and a 1 micron particulate after-filter with filter change indicator.
