- Page 1 of 1 In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), this Notice of Intent is to inform all parties the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 located at 6162 South Willow Drive Suite 300, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 intends to award a sole source procurement for the following requirement to the small business, Hocoma Inc., located at 377 Accord Park Drive, Norwell, MA 02061: ITEM # DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES QTY UNIT OF ISSUE 31585 Andago ® V2.0 3 EA 31814 Andago ® Handrails 3 EA Z52 Transport Andago ® 2.0 3 EA 000133 Andago ® Companionship on Demand 1 JB The contracting action is for the acquisition and installation of three (3) Andago 2.0 Bodyweight Support Gait Trainers. The Andago 2.0 was found to be only product on the market that provides dynamic bodyweight support throughout vertical oscillation of the gait pattern and is robotically powered to follow the patient. In addition to the robotic drive feature of gait propulsion offered by the Andago 2.0, the size of the system allows the Andago 2.0 to be wheeled through doorways from one room to another, which provides for use in the inpatient, as well as outpatient units. During use it does not confine patient to specific areas, allowing movement along hallways and other selected hospital space. Key Benefits of the Andago 2.0; a) sensory and proprioceptive feedback during the gait cycle, b) robotic propulsion assistance and vertical oscillation that reduce foot drag/drop during therapy, c) inpatient and outpatient use, d) use in tight areas, and e) beneficial treatment of acute spinal cord injuries (SCI) and acute exacerbations of SCI disorders in patients with upper extremity dysfunction. The associated North America Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 334510 and the Small Business Size Standard is 1,250 Employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Friday, December 27th, 2018. Information received in response to this notice must clearly demonstrate the capability of meeting the Government s need as stated above. Include any relevant information (specifications, cut sheets, brochures, capability statement, etc.) confirming the ability to supply the products and/or any services outlined in this notice. Responses to this notice are to be sent to kurt.tanny@va.gov. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government is not responsible for any potential costs incurred from interested parties desiring to respond to this notice.
