Description
Upgrade Locking System - Canandaigua Project #528-A5-18-527 The purpose of this amendment is to provide responses to requests for information and to include an additional clause. The scheduled offer deadline remains unchanged. Questions and Answers Q1. Can you provide the building and site drawings to accurately determine the length and distance between each building and within the buildings to determine the vertical and horizontal distances for each cable run? A1. See attached. Q2. Will a door schedule be provided listing the locations, room numbers and finish required for each door or do we have to create it? A2. Contractor shall develop in the roll out plan. Q3. Will there be a staging area made available for the project? A3. Yes, but limited in size. Q4. The general requirements section 1.4 Warranty mentions a warranty period on automatic door openers a. What warranty period are you requiring for the installed devices? 1 year, 2 years or 5 years? b. Does the warranty include the laptop computer also? A4. a. 1 year. b. yes. Q5. Part 2 Products in section 2.1 (08 71 00-5) states that The cores shall be punched with identifying codes for the location of installation. Is this necessary for the electronic cylinders? A5. Yes Q6. Will there be available ports on the patch panels in each telecommunication room for the new data drops needed? A6. Yes Q7. Is there an asbestos report for the buildings or a listing of what areas to avoid? Is there a lead paint report for the buildings? Who is responsible for asbestos and/or lead paint abatement, if any of those areas are to be disturbed during installation? A7. There is a survey, however it is limited to its accuracy. Contractor shall provide a plan for routing and the VA shall conduct tests if necessary for possible ACM and or lead. The Contractor should utilize existing raceways to minimize impact. Q8. Are there any restrictions on parking? A8. Contractors shall only be allowed to park in designated parking lots and their laydown space.
