- This is a sources sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified potential offerors. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. The Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 100 Emancipation Dr., Richmond, Virginia 23667, is seeking potential sources capable to provide Commercial size Generator inspection and maintenance services. The NAICS code for this procurement is 562998, Miscellaneous Waste Management Services, Size Standard $7.5 Million. Provide all services, labor, supervision, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, technical expertise, insurance, taxes and fees necessary to service and maintain sanitary waste disposal systems in identified Hampton VAMC restrooms in several building. Auto Disposal system equipment to discretely remove all sanitary waste from the premises. Sanitizer services for urinal and toilet treatment for controlling the growth or hard water and uric scales, and potentially harmful bacteria. Air Freshener system using a non-aerosol, hydrogen-based odor neutralizer providing continuous odor control 24 hours a day. Anti-Splash Urinal Screens. Electronic Sanitary Waste Disposal and Vending Services. Contractor is responsible for the verification of quantities and locations. The sanitary disposal unit shall have a no touch infra-red lid operation and will be placed next to each toilet in the women s restrooms. Each unit shall also contain a masking tray which protects the user from exposure to bacteria, body fluids and blood borne pathogens associated with this type of waste. The disposal unit shall contain a neutralizer with environmentally friendly blend of natural anti-microbial and odor controlling compounds. The contractor shall provide regular scheduled visits to service the units, and processing of the treated sanitary waste for final disposal shall be in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal regulations.
