Description
Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectrometer System The solicitation number is FA8601-20-Q-0033. The NAICS Code is 334516 � Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The Government (AFLCMC/PZIBB) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(ii). The proposed source is �Fisher Scientific/Thermo Electron North America.�. The supply being procured is a Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectrometer System for use by the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). This notice is being published for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotations received by the response date specified in this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Quotations should be e-mailed to Andrew Wal by 12:00 P.M. Eastern Time on 15 January 2020. Any questions should be directed to Andrew Wal by e-mail at andrew.wal@us.af.mil. Be advised that all correspondence sent via e-mail must contain the subject line: �FA8601-20-Q-0033 � FTIR Spectrometer System� The entire quotation must be contained in a single e-mail that does not exceed 5 megabytes including attachments, if any. E-mails with compressed files are not permitted. Note that e-mail filters at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) are designed to filter e-mails without subject lines or with suspicious subject lines or contents (i.e., .exe or .zip files). Therefore, if the specified subject line is not included, the e-mail may not get through the e-mail filters. Also be advised that .zip or .exe files are not allowable attachments and may be deleted by the email filters at WPAFB. If sending attachments with email, ensure only .pdf, .doc, .docx, .xls or .xlsx documents are sent. The email filter may delete any other form of attachments.
