Description
This posting is a pre-solicitation to inform potential vendors and is issued solely for informational and planning purposes. This posting is not a Request for Quotes. Respondees are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this pre-solicitation; all costs associated with responding to this pre-solicitation will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this pre-solicitation does not preclude participation in any future RFQ. A solicitation will be released on the FedBizOpps website in approximately one week. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to the following requirement. SAFETY SHOWER Specifications: These specifications support the purchase and implementation of a standalone self-contained emergency shower/eyewash system essential for chemical and hazmat decontamination at the Yakima Field Office. This station will be used for the battery containment area as according to but not limited to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.151 and 29 CFR 1926.441(a)(6), Reclamation Safety and Health Standards (RSHS) section12.12.7 and ANSI/ ISEA Z358.1 Required Parts: � Unit must be stand alone and must be portable with engineered pick/ lift points � Unit must NOT be a trailer with wheels � Unity must have insulated doors w/panic push hardware � Unit must have a self-contained sump tank to contain contaminated water � Unit must be able to hook up to an uninterrupted water supply � Unit must have a 240v/1ph electrical hookup w/breaker panel � Unit must have a minimum of a 5 kw Tank heater w/thermostat � Unit must have a minimum of a 3 kw room heater w/thermostat � Unit must have a tank temperature gauge � Unit must have interior lighting � Unit must have an emergency activation switch � Unit must have visual tank water level inspection � Unit must be engineered for local environmental loads � Unit must be all steel construction with a minimum of 12 gauge steel on sides and roof and �� steel plate for the floor with a nominal size of 6�6�W X 7�0�L x8�9�T to accommodate placement. � Unit finish must be chemical resistant coatings inside and outside � Unit must be fully assemble � Unit must be ANSI/ZSEA Z358.1 compliant � Unit must be an Emergency Shower, Eyewash and Drench Hose system � Unit must have ANSI combination emergency Halo eyewash and Spintec shower head � Unit must have ANSI hand held spray hose � Unit must be insulated. � Unit must have required safety signage according to OSHA and site regulations Products: The System is an Emergency Shower, Eyewash and Drench Hose system that will comply with or be greater than the OSHA, RSHS and/or ANSI standards for chemical and hazmat decontamination. The unit shall be self-contained, stand alone, insulated, and heated with the ability to hook up to an uninterrupted water supply. It will have a sump tank to contain contaminated wash water, have a heated tank with thermostat and temperature gauge, heated shower and eyewash area. It must also be powered by 240 volt electrical source containing, breaker panel, interior lighting and emergency activation switch. This structure shall be constructed of noncombustible materials and be engineered for local environmental roof/snow loads. This unit shall be engineered with pick/lifting points that are built into unit for portability as the battery storage unit is also portable. This is to ensure that the emergency shower/eyewash unit can be located permanently or moved within 25�of a battery containment area whenever needed.
