- Procurement to provide Extended Support - Software Support Plan, and Hardware Support Plan to the commercial ADACEL Systems, Inc. ATNAVICS Trainer software to allow for support for 10 delivered ATNAVICS Trainers. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) Orlando, intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, a contract with Adacel Systems, Inc to provide Extended Support - Software Support Plan, and Hardware Support Plan to the commercial ADACEL Systems, Inc. ATNAVICS Trainer software to allow for support for 10 delivered ATNAVICS Trainers for 3 additional option years. Sole source contracting with Adacel is permitted under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 �Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.� Adacel�s established Training System Support Center (TSSC) at the Orlando, FL facility will continue to maintain a simulation system with the ATNAVICS Trainer simulator baseline to support the fielded trainers during the contracted period of performance.� The TSSC will continue to act as the center of support for the ATNAVICS Trainer program for this follow-on support.� System hardware and software configuration management for each system will be maintained at the TSSC, ensuring an available backup of deployed system software.� The TSSC will operate in the fully staffed mode eight hours per day, five days per week.� For the remainder of the time, the TSSC will operate on call/standby mode, using an automated telephone transfer process for incoming helps desk calls ultimately providing 24/7/365 support.� The SimCare provisions providing hardware and software maintenance listed below will continue throughout the ATNAVICS support period. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 ( c )(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements).
