Description
Notice of Intent to Sole Source � Synopsis: This is a special notice prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2 �Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions.� U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price service contract for the procurement of enhanced law enforcement patrols with the Linn County Sheriff Department, Oregon.� The purpose of this acquisition is to furnish enhanced law enforcement patrols of recreational areas associated with dams and waterways within the Willamette Valley Projects during 01 May 2020 through 30 April 2025. The statutory authority for this non-competitive acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(5) as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), Soliciting from a Single Source. The Government intends to solicit this action on or about 05 February 2020. The NAICS code is 922120, Police Protection. Sector 92: Small business size standards are not established for this Sector. Establishments in the Public Administration Sector are Federal, state, and local government agencies which administer and oversee government programs and activities that are not performed by private establishments. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government.� All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quote to the contracting officer before the notice end date.� If no affirmative written responses are received by 2:00 PM Local Time on 28 January 2020, a solicitation will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. �A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. �Electronic responses and question shall be submitted via email to Robbie.R.Newland@usace.army.mil .� The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is not responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice.
