- Description
- Amendment 01 is being issued to correct the model information of the RTU for Bldg 16 as well as clarify requirements for the crane.� See the attached amendment for complete details. Project consists of the removal, disposal and replacement of two R-410A roof top units as described below.� One 40 ton unit is required for the Building 16 Dining Facility and one 12.5 ton unit is required for Building 25 Civil Engineering.� �� Building 16 Dining Facility: Contractor will install one new rooftop unit (RTU).� Unit shall be a York model number RZ4N852ABE, or equal, with 4 stages, a total 40 ton cooling capacity and 800,000 BTU input heating capacity.� Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) shall be a minimum of 10.7.� Unit will be 208 voltage 3 phase. Building 25 Civil Engineering Squadron: Contractor will install one new RTU.� Unit shall be a Bryant model number 580JP14D224A, or equal, with 2 stages, a total of 12.5 ton cooling capacity and 150,000 BTU input heating capacity.� EER shall be a minimum of 10.8.� Unit will be 208 voltage 3 phase. ��Previous unit in this location was a cooling unit only.� New unit is both cooling and heating.� Installation will require connection to a nearby gas line, approximately 10 feet away. For both building locations, the existing disconnects are to remain and be reused. New units are to utilize R-410A refrigerant.�� Base direct digital control (DDC) systems are to be interfaced into new unit. �Stratton ANGB utilizes Johnson Controls Metasys System. There is an existing system that can be utilized to tie in the new units. The existing units have R-410A refrigerant which will be recovered and removed.� Contractor is to abide by any and all EPA and New York State regulations.� ��Contractor is to provide EPA refrigerant licenses prior to commencement of work. �Refrigerant weights recovered will be annotated in the Base Refrigerant Management plan.� Government will provide forms for recording necessary information.� All existing units are to removed and disposed of properly in accordance to regulations.� Any and all penetrations are to be sealed.� Proposed models must be of equal capacity and greater efficiency than the existing models.� �Modifications or replacement of roof and support structures will be done as necessary.� Curb adaptors may be necessary for both installations.� Any alterations to existing support structures must be certified by a NYS Professional Licensed Engineer and approved by the BCE.� Contractor will tie new units into base DDC System.� Contractor is to supply a crane, or other lifting mechanism, as necessary to remove existing units and to position new units on both buildings. Contractor to supply an extended 5 year warranty on all compressors.
