Description
This announcement is to provide notice that the U.S. Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Contracting Division, on behalf of the Army Combat Capabilities Development Command-Soldier Center is seeking companies capable of producing modular sanitation sinks in accordance with market research procedures under FAR Part 10. The salient performance characteristics of the modular sanitation sinks are as follows: At 70 degrees F, ambient air temperature, and with 20 gallons of water, the MSS shall be capable of raising and maintaining the water temperature from an initial water temperature of 70 degrees F to 171 degrees F, within 45 minutes.� At -25 degrees F, ambient air temperature, and with 20 gallons of water, the MSS shall be capable of raising and maintaining the temperature from an initial water temperature of 50 degrees F, to 170 degrees F, within 120 minutes.� The MSS shall be furnished with rounded internal corners; sink covers; drain opening with strainer; a water fill line; a drain valve; a drain hose that interconnects with adjacent MSS drain valves; and a Modular Burner.� The MSS shall be provided with fuel supply and return lines that interface with the FPE fuel supply. The MSS shall be provided with power cables that interface with the FPE electrical power supply. The MSS shall be provided with a single exhaust port that interfaces with the FPE exhaust system. The MSS�s combustion process shall be fully enclosed within the MSS.� The MSS shall be furnished with a lockdown base and mounting brackets that interface with the FPE flooring system. The MSS shall be made from materials that are easily cleaned in kitchen applications and resistant to high combustion temperatures.� The MSS, including lockdown base, shall have overall dimensions not exceeding 40 inches high; 22 inches wide; and 30 inches deep.� The MSS sink bowl shall be of sufficient volume to hold 20 gallons of water and to contain all field feeding preparation and serving equipment.� The total number of items to be delivered to the government include six sinks for first article testing and a total quantity of 72 production units after testing is complete. While this notice is not a request for competitive proposals, parties purporting to have the requisite credentials and capabilities to produce the required items must furnish, in writing, factual information, which clearly supports and demonstrates their ability to sufficiently provide these units.
