Description

Presoliciation Synopsis The NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) has a requirement for the procurement of servicing and maintenance for the GRC LEX X-25 Solar Simulator which will include the following parts: 1- Collector Assembly (Drop in Replacement) 3- 10"" Mirrors 3- Mirror Spacers 1- XBO-3000W/H 1- GEN40-125-3P208 Power Supply (Current Model)� 1- On Site Installation (Labor and Expenses)�� ��� NASA GRC intends to purchase this requirement from Spectrolab, Inc. The service, maintenance, and parts must be compatible with the existing NASA GRC LEX-25 Solar Simulator and accessories. �Spectrolab, Inc is the original manufacturer of the NASA GRC LEX-25 Solar Simulator.� Compatibility is a major factor in this procurement as integration of other manufactured products has been considered but the efforts were ultimately found incompatible with current equipment.� In turn, resulting in increased cost, risk, functional deficiencies, and delays of time.� ����� Authority for sole source procurements may be found under FAR 6.302-1(2).� The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; a solicitation document will not be issued. Organizations that believe they are capable of performing the described work may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact no later than 3:00 p.m. EST on January 30, 2020. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
