- THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSAL. IT DOES NOT CONTITUTE A SOLICITATION AND SHALL NOT BE CONSTRUED AS A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT. RESPONSES IN ANY FORM ARE NOT OFFERS AND THE GOVERNMENT IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO AWARD A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABE TO PAY FOR PREPARATIONS OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. The DLA-Aviation is issuing this sources sought as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support the requirement for a PIPE BENDER MACHINE. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 333517. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, and no feedback or evaluation will be provided to companies regarding their submissions. Response Instructions: Interested parties should submit a response to the Sources Sought notice by January 23j, 2020 NLT 1500 EST. All responses under this Sources Sought notice must be emailed to gloria.lucero@dla.mil. Responses should not exceed ten (10) one-sided 8.5 x 10 inch pages with a font that is no smaller than 10 point as this is not a request for proposal but only a request for submission of vendor's capability to perform this requirement. DLA Aviation Richmond intends to award a sole source contract for PIPE BENDER MACHINCE or equivalent and is seeking sources that can provide, install, and provide training for the machine. Foundation and rigging will be required with the contractor responsible for the installation. Interested parties that can provide the required PIPE BENDER MACHINCE with installation including training may identify their interest and capability no later than the stated closing data and time of this notice. Place of performance is USN SRF (SRF-JRMC) YOKOSUKA-SHI, KANAGAWA-KEN, JAPAN 238-0001.
