Description

The Mission and Installation Command, Carlisle Barracks intends to award a purchase order; base plus four option years, on a sole source basis IAW FAR 13.106-(b)(1) to Castle�s K-9, Inc., 1291 Leidig Dr., Mechanicsburg, PA 17055-9759, Cage Code 3LEK8, for the requirement for an Explosive Detection/Utility Canine in support of the Random Anti-Terrorism Measure Program (RAMP) at Carlisle Barracks.� The contractor shall be required to provide an Explosive Detection Canine capable of completing an installation wide detection/deterrent program. Responsibilities include: training the Government Certified Canine Handler with the Canine provided, conducting vehicle inspections for force protection purposes at installation gate areas; conducting explosive detection sweeps of designated areas; providing canine support for VIP missions; clearing unaccompanied vehicles, packages and items discovered on or adjacent to Carlisle Barracks property, periodically conducting roving patrols for deterrent purposes and monthly refresher training. The contractor facility must be within 15 miles of the Carlisle Barracks, to provide the housing, food, veterinary care, training and any other incidentals required in the care of the canine.� The contract type will be Firm Fixed Price (FFP).� The NAICS code is 561612. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS, and a solicitation will not be issued.� Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responses must be received by Wednesday, 29 Jan 2020 at 1:00 p.m. �Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
