Description
INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 5, intends to enter into a sole source procurement for a (Insufflation System, cart and software) for the Martinsburg VA Medical Center (613), 510 butler Ave, Martinsburg, West Virginia 25405. In accordance with 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(5), 38 U.S.C. 8127(b), as implemented by FAR 6.302-5 (Authorized or Required by Statute), and under the authority of VAAR 819.7007, Sole Source Awards to a Verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order to (vendor) Company Name: K-Art Xray Supply Company Dun: 182853689 Address: 100 Foothills Pkwy, marble Hill, GA 30148-2256 Phone: 1-888-240-5100 The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is (334517) and the Business Size Standard is (1000) employees. It is the Government s belief that the Rational/explanation to support cited authority (FAR 8.405-6(b)) (FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B)): This is the carbon dioxide part of CT colonoscopies.� The CO2 is put into the colon and then CT pictures are taken this replaces the traditional colonoscopy or can be used as a prescreening to the traditional colonoscopy.� There is no anesthesia involved, so there s less risk and complications. Protoco2L Touch is the only system available to meet the needs the facility has to perform CO2 CT Colonoscopies and is only manufactured by one company. at the Martinsburg VAMC. The estimated value of this acquisition is approximately ($16,709.05). The estimated award date is on or before (2/4/2020). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Time, Jan 31, 2020). Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government.
