Page 2 of 2 Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration January 22, 2020 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Aethon TUG Robots 36E77620Q0044 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC), in support of VISN 23, requires the relocation of Aethon TUG Robots and installation of the TUGnet infrastructure at the new Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) at the Nebraska-Western Iowa Healthcare System, Omaha Medical Center. Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) intends to issue a sole source solicitation to Aethon, Inc., 100 Business Center Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205 requesting the relocation of Aethon TUG Robots and installation of the TUGnet infrastructure, with the possibility of purchasing one additional TUG Robot. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339113 and the Small Business Administration Size Standard is 750 employees. This notice of intent to is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirements may submit a quotation, which may be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that the responding company can meet the requirements of the Government. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
