- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation or drawings available at this time. Military Sealift Command is seeking eligible businesses that can provide nine (9) potable water tanks for the Expeditionary Fast Transport vessels per specifications and/or salient charicteristics listed.� The Country of Origin and lead time must be designated. �Tank Type: 20� ISO full frame collar tank, Type UN Portable Tank T11, insulated, steam heated, with H200 X 100 X 8 X 5.5 lower side longitudinal beams, top side rails fitted, free miss-stacking structures adjacent to four bottom corner castings. �Description: Assembly frame conforms to ISO standard (stackable and featuring standard ISO corner castings) 316L stainless steel barrel, food grade for potable water. Capacity not to exceed- 17,500 liter / 4,624 gallons Tare weight � 8,000 lbs Maximum gross weight not to exceed 36,000 kg Full Frame (dimension 20� x 8� x 8�6�) Working pressure: 4 BAR (58.0 psi) Test pressure: 6.0 bar (87.0 psi) Working temperature: >= 120 degree C 8 m2 or greater steam heating area 4.4 BAR safety relief valve 500 mm stainless steel manway Bottom loading / discharge valve 3� 45� footvalve with 3� BSP outlet Air Inlet 1 �� Ball valve with 1 � � BSP connection Top Discharge 3� Provision only Spare Connection 2� Blind off connection Spill boxes 2 Stainless steel boxes, with lockable spill box covers Walkways 2 Longitudional, 5 transverse, 475 mm wide, marine 3 sets of 2 stainless steel 316 vertical removable baffles 1 �� hose with modified discharge valve for tank level indication Corrosion-resistant materials used throughout assembly Tank insulation + steam heating sufficient to prevent freezing at -20-degrees C ambient All Small businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUBZone, Woman Owned and Certified 8(a) Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. The appropriate NAICS Code is 332420. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE OR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool used to determine the availability, adequacy of potential business sources to include domestic/DoD qualifying country origin availability prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. It is requested that interested businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to provide the requested items. This document shall address, as a minimum the following: (1) Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE Code and a statement regarding small business designation and status; (2) The facility where the work will be performed (3) Partnership agreements with any large businesses. Submission of a capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Government in tailoring requirement to be consistent with industry.
