Description
Page 1 of 1 The Department of Veterans Affairs, Salt Lake City VA Health Care System, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with Bangerter LLC for specific scientific and technical expertise in support of CCTA #0008 clinical trial, A Pilot Trial to Assess Low-intensity Ultrasound in Osteoarthritis. Bangerter LLC will provide expertise, design, and oversite related to the MRI protocol, MRI data acquisition, and MRI data analysis and extraction of cartilage thickness measurements for the study. Preparation of reports and publications related to the study. Amendments to protocol and study design. The contractor will also serve on the trial s executive committee and will participate in weekly planning and status meetings with the Study Chair s Office, other study meetings and conference calls, and additional meetings and consultations with the trial executive committee, PIs, and other co-investigators as needed. Bangerter LLC designed and implemented the MRI protocols from the study inception to include initial analyses of the MRI results. There would need to be a gross duplication of effort and cost in order to allow another vendor the time and intellectual resources that would be required to be up to speed to report the results within the next few months as required by VA CSP and the device vendor. This is a notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Thursday, January 30th, 12:00, EST. Interest/capability statements may be sent to Lynn Portman at lynn.portman@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
