- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a firm-fixed price contract on a one time, sole source basis to:� Keysight Technologies, Inc., 1900 Garden of the Gods Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80907 for the purpose of conducting on-site calibration of Keysight equipment that has already been purchased. The calibration is needed to ensure equipment and systems are operating at peak efficiency, as well as to identify any potential maintenance issues that need to be corrected in order to perform accurate and precise antenna measurements. Keysight is the original equipment manufacturer for the current equipment and therefore can also effect on-site repairs as necessary. No other company is known to test the complete RF measurement system, which is crucial in determining when/if ancillary equipment, such as cable and adapters, are beginning to break down from continued use or indirectly affecting primary equipment performance. Keysight calibration results are used to identify and evaluate trends regarding both equipment and system performance. The resultant contract will fulfill the FBI�s requirement to maintain antenna measurement systems in peak operating condition to effectively conduct the missions of the FBI. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
