- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION/SOURCES SOUGHT: The Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management. Washington Office (WO 855) anticipates a service requirement for Short Term Hold Facility and Support Services, Wild Horses and Burros. ""SHORT TERM HOLD FACILITY AND SUPPORT SERVICES, WILD HORSES AND BURROS, FACILITY OR FACILITIES LOCATED IN THE STATES BORDERING AND EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER, INCLUDING ALABAMA, ARKANSAS, FLORIDA, GEORGIA, KENTUCKY, LOUISIANA, MISSISSIPPI, NORTH CAROLINA, SOUTH CAROLINA, TENNESSEE, VIRGINIA, CONNECTICUT, DELAWARE, ILLINOIS, IOWA, MAINE, MARYLAND, MASSACHUSETTS, MICHIGAN, MINNESOTA, MISSOURI, NEW HAMPSHIRE, NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, OHIO, PENNSYLVANIA, RHODE ISLAND, VERMONT, WEST VIRGINIA, AND WISCONSIN� Objective(s):a) To maintain and prepare excess wild horses and burros from BLM wide gather operations or from the western preparation facilities, to facilitate placing animals into private care; b) Provide land, pens, feed, salt, minerals and water necessary for maintaining a minimum of 300 wild horses and burros.; c) To provide corrals and adequate facilities to load, unload, prepare, and sort wild horses and burros.; d)Provide humane care of all wild horses and burros during receiving, holding and preparation, prior to shipment to off-range pastures, sale or adoption. ; e)Provide regular, on-the-ground observations of wild horses to ascertain their well-being and safety.; f)Provide assistance in the observation of the wild horses and burros to ascertain their well-being and safety.; g)Provide opportunity for the BLM to host private placement events for the public to select animals."" The Government does not intend to award a contract based on this request for information or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Your response will be treated as information/market research only. It shall not be used as a proposal. This request for information is issued for the purpose of market research, and to assist in the prospective development of the acquisition package(s), acquisition strategy and develop an interested vendors list. INFORMATION REQUESTED (See attached questionnaire): NOTE: Anticipated award of a non-personal service, Fixed Priced Economic Price Adjustment, Single Award, Indefinite Deliver Indefinite Quantity type contract with a possible minimum guarantee of $5,000.00, and maximum $3,000,000.00 (not guaranteed), a base year and 4 options (up to 9 options, as allowed by law). This is tentative and is subject to change.
