- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of small business concerns to set this future project aside. If your firm is a Small Businesses, 8(a), HUBZone Certified Small Business Concerns, Woman-Owned Small Business, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. The U.S. Depart of Labor is seeking information regarding capability and availability of potential contractors to perform one (1) Stand-Alone, Firm Fixed Price Contract for Design/Build Construction Services for the project titled ""Site Security Improvements"". This work will be performed at the South Bronx Job Corps Center, 1771 Andrews Avenue, Bronx, New York 10453. Work includes design and construction services for the renovation work required to upgrade the site security at the South Bronx JCC. The work includes but not limited to the following: (1) separating the pedestrian and vehicular traffic by closing off the existing vehicular access point on the west side of the Center. (2) Demolition of the existing Guard Booth and construction of a larger Welcome Center/Guard Booth near Gymnasium Building 7 along with a new controlled pedestrian access gate. (3) Replacement of the existing accessible lift near the Gymnasium Building 7 with an accessible elevator and weather tight elevator enclosure. (4) Renovation of the Building 2 lobby to house new security screening equipment. (5) Reconstruction of the existing concrete accessible ramp near the Building 2 lobby to meet current accessible codes. (6) Installation of a new decorative fence to act as a security access point prior to entry of the Building 2 lobby. The primary North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this requirement is 236220, Commercial and Institutiona Building Construction. The Small Business Size Standard is $36.5 Million. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain insight into the interest and capabilities of small business firms to perform a firm fixed price construction type contract of this magnitude and to determine if there is adequate competition to compete and successfully perform. The estimated construction value is between $ 250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Interested Offerors shall respond to this Sources Sought Synopsis no later�May 3,�2019 by 02:00 PM Eastern time. Firms interested in submitting their capabilities for this project, must include the following information in the cover letter /introduction: (1) Company name, address, point of contact with phone number and e-mail address; (2) Business size determination, and qualifying small business status/certification of Small Business (3) Bonding capacity (from surety). If submitting as a Joint Venture (JV), all JVs must have an agreement, JV entity DUNS, and CVE certification.
