- Description
- Project Titled: ""Renovations of HVAC in Dormitory Building"". Design-Build� The work involves design and construction services for the renovations of the HVAC systems in Domitory Buildings (17,18,20,21,22,23, and 25) at the Northlands Job Corps Center. Work includes but not limited to installing new variable refrigerant flow air conditioning system in each building listed with wall hung or cassette type indoor units in dormitory rooms, offices, corridors, and lounges. Bathroom and laundry exhaust systems in the dormitory buildings shall be connected to a heat recovery units. The design shall comply with identified and targeted standards established by the leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system; however, no LEED Certification is required. Phasing and Swing Space: Phase the project using the available vacant dormitory bed space as swing space. It is anticipated to require four phases with two buildings being in each phase. The primary North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to these requirements is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Small Business Size Standard is $36.5 Million. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to obtain insight into the interest and capabilities of small business firms to perform a firm fixed price design-build construction type contract of this magnitude and to determine if there is adequate competition to compete and successfully perform. The estimated construction value is between $1Million and $5Million. Interested Offerors shall respond to this Sources Sought Synopsis no later May 2, 2019 by 02:00 PM Eastern time. ALL RESPONSES MUST BE EMAILED to David Stephens, Jr., Contract Specialist at Stephens.david@dol.gov. (Please reference the Sources Sought Number and Project Title in the subject block of the email). Firms interested in submitting their capabilities for this project, must include the following information in the cover letter /introduction: (1) Company name, address, point of contact with phone number and e-mail address; (2) Business size determination, and qualifying small business status/certification of Small Business (3) Bonding capacity (from surety). If submitting as a Joint Venture (JV), all JVs must have an agreement, JV entity DUNS, and CVE certification. This is NOT a Request for Proposal and does not constitute any commitment by the Government. Responses to this sources sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this market survey. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought.
